Day #26 being inpatient....29 weeks 5 days

Well so far so good, no issues as of yet! Our girls are behaving well in there! Only 17 more days until they deliver at 32 weeks! I went for my growth scan at 28 weeks and the girls were 2lb 3oz and 2lb 5 oz! Being in the hospital is not as bad as i thought it would be, it was a little hard at first but after about the first week i was over the blues. The family comes and visits 3 times a week and i get some random visitors here and there! I am almost 30 weeks and i consider myself VERY luck that the babies have made it this far without any issues! The daily count down is on!!

1 week inpatient.....

Well its been a week and Im still alive! It actually hasn't been as bad as i thought except the constant interruptions in the middle of the night to check heart tones. The babies dont really cooperate with the NST's they move all over the place so we end up chasing them around and being stuck on the monitors for hours on end. I think we have had 2 good runs that only last 30 minutes but there were no breaks. So far babies are good, nothing crazy going on. I am over the sadness of being away from Justin and the kids now, I talk to them every night and they come up 3 times a week. Justin usually lays in my bed with me and cuddles with me and we watch netflix while the kids watch a movie on the Ipad. I think I might just make it after all. Only 5 more weeks and my baby girls will be here....that is as long as they dont try to come early on their own!!

5/14/12 -26 weeks...I am officially inpatient

Well it looks like I am a prisoner of this hospital room and bed for the next 6 weeks. I have my own room which is great, wireless internet ALSO great. Tonight I had my first NST session which was a bit of a mess because the girls play hard to get! We finally caught them and did the testing, all was well, great heartrates and NO decels!! Athat was the most excitement I had on this first day.

Tuesday day 2, morning blood draw, steriod injection and then GD test and then morning NST which went so so....then later on to afternoon testing.Afternoon testing didnt go so hot, the babies showed their behind for over an hour but we managed to get 1 good strip out of them! Met with doctor only to find out that my GD test was pointless because i had th steriod shout which caused the results to be way outta wack! So now I have to wait a week and do it AGAIN!! Now on the the NST testing for tuesday night...yeah it didnt happen, we cuoldnt even get 1 of the girls to cooperate.I was feeling alot of pressure so they checked my cervix all was well so no worries there. BUT due to the cramping i got stuck with an IV port, just in case is what they said.

Wednesday day 3 woke to a VERY sore arm where they placed my IV, there was blood ALL around underneath the clear sticky bandage, I told the nurse and she said it should be ok. Well it WASNT!! When my new nurse came on at 8:00 am I had her come to my room.... was making my bed only to feel something wet down my arm and now my sheet has blood all over it, the IV line was now leaking blood all over the place. She came in and took it out, there was good quarter sized clump of coagulated blood i guess from last night. Morning NST was totally uuseless once again babies would not cooperate...we redid the NST at 5 and managed to get just enought to make the doctor happy. I signed my papers to get my tubes tied at the csectiobn so thats out of the way...wheew...and on to tonights testing....took about 20 minutes to find them and get them on and i had to sit on the machine for over an hour because 1 baby kep wondering off but now thats done...its 12:05 am and i am exhausted. I only have 4 hours before i get woken up again to check heart rates....

Doc Appt 23 Weeks

Well today for the FIRST time my blood pressure was awesome, 127/71!!! I was sooooooo happy! I have been out of work for about a week and it seems to be ALOT better for my health!! I was informed by the doctor today that I will be going in-patient at the hospital at 26 weeks which i am glad but at the same time very stressed out!! I have to figure out who is going to take care of the kids gettting back and forth to school until summer gets here. then i have to worry about who is going to keep them while Justin is at work :( But this is whats best for the babies so we have to do it!! I am going to discuss with them the possibility of doing maybe daily out-patient testing until they get our of school for summer. They said that the babies will be delivered via c-section at 32 weeks if they stay in that long so fingers crossed they grow and grow until then :)

Oh the pain!!! 20 weeks 3 days

For a few days now I have been experiencing very sharp pain and tenderness in my cervix, I know it sound wierd, but I know that is where the pain is. I have also been having some cramping so i am very nervous!! I had some kind of fluid leakage so I went to LD because I was just scared and in pain! After a very uncomfortable exam I was told that my water was not broker, my cervix was still nice and closed, but I do have an infection that is the cause of the pain and cramping. I was given an antibiotic so hopefully that clears everything up! So far this very complicated pregnancy is going well which makes me sooooooo happy, I cant wait to see my girls!!!!

First Cervical Ultrasound...15 Weeks 5 Days

Today I went to the doctor for the first check on my cervical length. When the sonobgrapher checked it she said that it is measureing 3.4cm which I am told is GREAT!  They Confirmed that both babies are still girls :) The sonographer look all the measurements of both babies, head, belly, femur, and crown to rump length..Both babies are EXACTLY the same size which is phenominal!!!They will be checking my cervix by scan every 2 weeks so it seems like i will be getting a peak at these little girls pretty often :) I am feeling very optimistic right now because I know twins being the same size is very rare!

Gender Scan...YAY!!! 14 weeks 5 days

February 24, 2012 i got lucky today at 14 weeks 5 days and got in to get my gender scan, the babies are GIRLS!!!!!!! I am soooooo excited! Justin said "OMG, Hunter and I are TOTALLY out numbered now!!" Hunter's response was " SERIOUSLY?! 2 MORE OF HER (as he points at Autumn)" I think it's Great!!

Dr. Appointment 13 weeks 4 days

February 16, 2012 Doctor confirmed today that I will be hospitalized at 26 weeks for 24/7 monitoring....whatever is best for the babies! The doctor thinks I have gestational diabetes so I had to do my 1hr glucose test today, ALSO my blood pressure was SKY HIGH 145/89 which worried them AND my thyroid is out of wack again so my dosage was bumped to 175mcg. I swear what else can be wrong with me?! On a good note I got to see the babies on ultrasound again, looking perfect with perfect little beating hearts!! I guess I will get my glucose results at my next appointment.

First Diagnostic Ultrasound! 12 weeks 6 Days

February 10, 2012 I found out that todays Ultrasound is to check on the babies since we now know there are 2 and to check for a membrane between the babies. The Sonographer keeps looking and sees only 1 sac, 1 placenta , 2 babies and NO dividing membrane. The babies are going to be identical twins! I was told that the twins are most likely Monoamniotic which makes this pregnancy VERY dangerous! I will most likely be hospitalized at 26 weeks and delivered via c-section at 32 weeks due to the high risk of cord entanglement and cord compression. I am VERY scared because I dont want to lose my babies! I have lost a child before and I dont think I could survive it again!

My 1st OB Appointment!! 10 Weeks 4 Days

January 29, 2012 Today I had my first appointment with the doctor. We talked about my pregnancy history and about how this one should be the same....how i should expect to get my cerclage at 13 weeks and so on. The doctor said that she wanted to do an ultrasound since it was to early to hear the heart beat with the doppler...i was very excited to get to see the baby again especially since we had the ER scare a few weeks ago. We got into the room and the scan began, keep in mind this is my 4th pregnancy, I have seen the screen a million times before so I know what I am looking at. I see a perfect little baby with a heart beat which made me super happy, but then I noticed there seemed to be an aweful lot going on in there....the doctors says to me " do you see that?" I replied " do I see what?" and she said "the other baby!" I replied "what other baby?!" and thats when we found out we are expecting TWINS!!!
